What a Woman's College Has to Offer

I think that being at a women's college is right for me because I feel like here at Cottey I really found my voice. I feel so comfortable and confident being able to speak up in the classroom and express who I genuinely am and express what I genuinely believe in. My college experience was really defined by the community that it was able to find here with it being an all women's school, both in and out of the classroom. Being able to walk and talk in spaces where you feel loved, and welcome, by your peers is really amazing.

I feel like here I get such a personalized [and] individualized track and my professors invest so much in me in the classroom, I feel like I can raise my hand. I can speak out and contribute to these conversations. Because I feel so comfortable in this space. Cottey has helped my confidence grow through the roof. I have been able to step into new spaces confidently and very, very sure of myself and that is both, you know, within professional spaces and within myself.

And as far as the community goes at Cottey we have so many traditions that have been passed along but I absolutely love being a part of and are so unique to Cottey College. Cottey is the place where you can try new things and do whatever you want to do and work with people from different perspectives and different ideas and different experiences.
